Donate to Help These Children and Others Like Them

All of these children qualify for the older child adoption grants on Reece's Rainbow. These are the grants I am trying to raise funds for. To lessen the financial burden of adoption for a loving family that has a desire to adopt one of these sweethearts. With most international adoptions costing anywhere from $20,000-$40,000 an adoption grant can go a long way in helping a family take the first step to adopt a child. Your donation of $5 or more can bring a family one step closer to rescuing a precious special needs child from a hellish existence in an institution. The donations are tax deductible. They go straight to Reece's Rainbow, I don't see a dime of it. It's all for the kids. That's why we are doing this. These children need families, the sooner, the better!

Carson

If this little guy doesn't just break your heart, I don't know what will. He needs to be rescued and needs a loving family and good medical care. Look at those owies, that thin hair, and those pale lips. Poor little fellow. Please help Carson! Here is his description on Reece's Rainbow:

BOY, Born April 17, 2003
So happy to see have updates on this boy!  Carson was listed with us several years ago, and we lost touch with his orphanage.   He is already 7, and still living at the baby house.   Carson is a very very smart and functional boy!  He has light brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes.   He was born with congenital epidermolysis bullosa.  He absolutely needs improved medical care and a loving family!!    From his caregivers:  Carson is the size of a 4-5 year old. Understands absolutely everything but cannot talk since his tongue muscle is not working (cicatricial sclerosis?), the tongue accreted to lower palate because of emersed vesicles. Needs plastic surgery of tongue. Very nice boy.     EB is not an easy condition to deal with, but Carson is so smart and will make such a wonderful son.  He has a glowing personality and will do great in a family of his own.

Heath

Here's another little boy that you can't help but hurt for.  He is one of  only 2 boys in this institution available for adoption. 2 out of over 100 boys. Heath is one of the 2 that even has a chance at all to be adopted right now. The door has been opened for him and  "Brady" but it will not remain open for long. Please help save him from his neglect filled life in the institution. Here is his description on Reece's Rainbow:

Boy, Born April 8, 2001
Heath is a sweet little boy who desperately needs a family.
Heath is a nine year old boy with Down Syndrome. He is tiny in stature. His feet hardly reach the edge of his shared wheelchair. Because of his age, he has already been transferred from the stimulating environment of his baby house to a dull and underfunded mental institute for boys ages 6-18. He is no longer the youngest boy in his group, but he is certainly among the smallest.
Heath is not a recent transfer. He has lived in the stifling boredom of institution life for a long time. He has lost the vivacity of life at the baby houses. In his three years at the institute, he has been given nothing of his own. He has not seen a book or a toy. He has never been gathered into anyone's loving arms. He is a very lonely little fellow in desperate need of love and comfort.
We have few other details on Heath. He has been seen in a wheelchair, so he may not be able to walk. We don’t know if or how well he talks, or any other details on his medical condition. We do know that he is a cute, chubby-cheeked, dirty and neglected lonely little lost boy who needs a mother more than almost anyone else in the world.
If you would like to learn more about Heath from a family who met him at his present institute, please follow these links:

Shawna

This little darling will soon be transferred to a mental institution if not adopted soon. Please help Shawna!

Girl, Born March 2, 2004
Shawna has grown so much since her last photo! She is walking now, very social and affectionate. She has already turned 6 and is facing imminent institutionalization. She is healthy, but is considered severely delayed. PLEASE give Shawna a chance to be everything she can be, in a loving family who supports her and encourages her to grow and learn.

Diana
This little princess really needs medical care to help her with her cystic fibrosis. She needs a loving family to help her through her tough times with this illness. Please help Diana!

Girl, Born April 24, 2003
Look at that pretty smile!  Light brown hair and big brown eyes, Diana is waiting for her forever family.  She was born with mucoviscidosis (cystic fibrosis) and has a pancreatic deficiency.   We are waiting on more info about any possible medications or treatments that she takes for this, and about her prognosis medically.   However, she is described as a smart and delightful girl.  She is active and friendly and will do well in a loving family environment.  She deserves the opportunity to live out her life at HOME, with opportunities to succeed outside of her orphanage.
